Make the most of your time in Berlin outside of the conference and enjoy some local site seeing!

Reichstag Building

This historic building in Berlin houses the Bundestag, the lower house of Germany's parliament. It was constructed to house the Imperial Diet of the German Empire. It was opened in 1894 and housed the Diet until 1933, until it was seized by the Nazis. After being severely damaged by a fire, the building underwent restorations, which did not complete until the 1990’s and today, visitors to the building can still see Soviet graffiti on smoky walls inside as well as on part of the roof, which was preserved during the reconstructions after reunification.
