Dr. Alexander Borek

Dr. Alexander Borek is a leading data executive, author and keynote speaker in Europe. As Director of Data Analytics at Zalando, he runs the central data organization serving all business divisions and is responsible for the implementation of the data strategy. In the past, Alex worked as Global Head of Data and AI at Volkswagen Group and advised Fortune 500 companies as strategy consultant during his time with Gartner and IBM. His PhD research at Cambridge University was pioneering the application of risk management techniques in data management. His latest books are "Driving Digital Transformation through Data and AI" and "The Ultimate Data & AI Guide".
